With some snack and a drink, I walked to the National Garden of Athens and had a lunch in the sade. It’s a botanical garden with various trees and a few artificial ponds where geese and turtles are resting
I noticed on the map, that the Museum of Ancient Greek Technology was only two streets away. It has three floors with different exhibitions, but there is a combined ticket. There weren’t many people. On the top floor, at the musical instrument exhibition, the young girl held her presentation only for me, showing me the first keyboard instrument in the world, invented by Ctesibius in the 3rd century BC, and the Seikilos epitaph.
There is a separate floor for hydraulic gadgets, and in the basement, there are armours not only from the Greeks, but from the entire Mediterranean region.
At 6 pm, I already felt that I was not going to throw myself into the Athenian night that day. I bought “dinner” and snacks at a convenience store for tomorrow’s boat trip, which will be over three hours long.
