After taking care of our clients, on our second day we started to explore Ponta Delgada. Morning briefing with the clients:
We started on the coastline, went back to the main square and walk a full circle in the city, and ended up in the Sacred Art Center right next to the Igreja do Colégio dos Jesuítas. After the first day Viola hugging a tree, it was an obvious decision to “use” her to show the scale of basically everything as she is way shorter than me, so she became a unit of measure of ours.
The church has its own little exhibition, and, in the Center, there was a second exhibition showcasing the everyday life of the islanders in the past.
After the church and the exhibitions, we went to Jardim Botânico José do Canto botanic garden. In the garden Viola turned into Dora, the little explorer as even the simplest plant was 4-5 taller than us. After the Parque Terra Nostra this is my favourite botanic garden so far.
After going home, we picked up the car, we refuelled and went to Ponta da Ferraria for a swim. But we had huge waves, so we did not risk it, just made a picture about a rainbow.
