Last weekend I took a 40 minutes ride with ferry to visit Gozo, the second island of Malta
Once you start from Cirkewwa harbour, if you and look ahead, all you see is:
If you look right, you see Comnio, the thrid island:
If you look left, direction of south, you see this:
This is already the harbour on Gozo island.
The whole island is 67 square km; I have never been on such a small island before. The still, there is a capital, called Victoria, and that it has a Citadel.
The entire Citadel is surrounded by a huge yellowish stone wall.
The biggest beach on the isalnd called Ramla bay definitely worth a visit.
Taking the ferry is fun, no matter how old are you. Here we are waiting for them to come and we can leave. A total of 3 ferries operate simultaneously. They lift up their front so the cars and trucks can go in, so it takes half an hour to board.
After spending the whole day on the island you just about to catch the sunset on the main island on the way back home.
